Die Mädchen der Kawabata Yasunari Schule in Hann, Senegal, die spontan beschlossen, die Mundus maris Theatertruppe um einen Sketch über Plastikverschmutzung und zivilgesellschaftliche Verantwortung für eine saubere Bucht zu bilden, werden vom Lehrer Bina Diop betreut, der auch leidenschaftlicher Theaterdirektor und Künstler ist und frischen Wind in traditionelle Kunstformen bringt. Die Mädchen führten in den ersten Wochen der Gründung der Truppe ein Feuerwerk erfolgreicher Sketche auf.
Alles begann mit dem Welttag des Ozeans in der Kawabata Yasunari Schule, allgemein bekannt als die "Japanische Schule" der Gemeinde Hann Bel Air, als unser Vizepräsident Aliou Sall die Arbeit von Mundus maris vorstellte, ohne dabei die Zusammenarbeit zu vergessen, aud die Zusammenarbeit mit der FAO durch ihr Nansen-Projekt zum Ökosystemansatz für die Fischerei (EAF) zu verweisen. Er überliess dann die Bühne der Gruppe von Mädchen, die mit ihrem Sketch zur Verschmutzung der Bucht von Hann die Theatertruppe Mundus maris konstituieren wollten. Die Verschmutzung der Bucht ist ein Thema, das die Bewohner Hanns schon lange beschäftigt hat.
Unmittelbar danach, am 18. Juni, begann ein beschleunigter Probenrhythmus unter den wachsamen Augen von Bina Diop, Mitglied des Mundus maris Club Senegal, weil die Truppe eingeladen worden war, am 23. Juni 2018 bei der Preisverleihung an die besten Schüler aller Schulen in der Gemeinde Hann Bel Air ein Stück über Umweltverschmutzung und verantwortungsvolles Benehmen zu präsentieren. An dieser wichtigen Veranstaltung nahmen der Bürgermeister, einige Gemeinderäte, die KreisInspektion für allgemeine und berufliche Bildung von Grand Dakar sowie große multinationale Unternehmen wie Bolloré teil.
Außerdem wurde die Truppe bereits zum 30. Juni von ihrer Schule, noch vor ihrer lang erwarteten formellen Taufe, für eine Aufführung gebeten. Diese fand anlässlich der Feier zu Ehren von Herrn Idrissa Diallo, dem scheidenden Direktor statt, der sich engagiert um Zusammenarbeit bemühte, seit er Mundus maris kennengelernt hatte. Am 30. Juni 2018 bespielte die Truppe nicht nur das Thema Meeresverschmutzung, sondern bot auch ein zu Ehren von Herrn Diallos komponiertes Lied dar.
Nach diesen Einsätzen für eine Truppe, die gerade erst gegründet wurde, konnte schließlich am 1. Juli die Taufe offiziell gefeiert werden. Die Taufe fand auf dem Schulgelände unter Beteiligung der Vertreterin der Eltern der Schülerinnen, Frau Sèye, weiterer Eltern, Lehrer und vieler Schüler statt, die zum ersten Mal die Möglichkeit hatten, diese Truppe von Schülern ihrer Schule zu sehen. Ihre Aufführung spielte wieder auf dem Thema der Umwelt im Allgemeinen und Meeresverschmutzung im Besonderen an.
Für die Vertreter von Mundus maris haben die Ergebnisse alle Erwartungen übertroffen.
In der Tat, trotz der wenigen Probentage übertrafen der Sketch und die Lieder die Qualitätserwartungen. Eine weitere angenehme Überraschung am Tauftag war die Vorstellung einer weiteren Gruppe von 15 Mädchen, die als Cheerleaders eine ordentliche Show hinlegten.
Um die mit unserer Assoziation namensgleiche Truppe bei ihrer Taufe zu belohnen, hat der Club Mundus maris Senegal sowohl Snacks als auch ein paar kleine Bücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Um Frustration unter den sehr jungen Schauspielern zu vermeiden, bekam auch die Gruppe der Cheerleader ein paar Lehrbücher. Außerdem wurden T-Shirts mit dem Logo von Mundus maris rechtzeitig hergestellt und den Mitgliedern der Theatertruppe zur offiziellen Gründung übergeben.
Die Zeremonie begann gegen 11.30 Uhr und endete erst gegen 15.30 Uhr. Bina Diop und Aliou Sall vom Mundus maris Club Senegal erinnerten an die Bedeutung der Schulen in unserer übergreifenden Agenda, nachdem sie die Vision und Mission des gemeinnützigen Vereins erklärt hatten. Der Vertreter der Eltern und schließlich Herr Diallo, der gerade pensionierte Direktor, ergriffen ebenfalls das Wort.
Mr. Diallo emphasised several points. In particular, he (i) sent his message to parents and pupils asking them to invest more in this oral art of theatre plays which is an integral part of the curriculum, but is still taken little into account: and (ii) underlined the importance of this troupe becoming well known, because it has a lot of opportunity both at the municipal and national levels. He approached the Departmental Inspectorate of Education and Training (IEF) for the Mundus maris troupe to be invited for a performance during the awarding of prizes to the best students selected in a national competition organised by the Ministry of the Environment, specifically the Environmental Education Center located in the Hann Zoo and Forest Park.
Meanwhile, on July 11, 2018, a platform of associations and movements active in the defence of the environment has decided to organise a vast operation of cleaning the Bay of Hann, which suffers from pollution by solid waste a good part of which is composed of plastics.
This platform is formed by Senegal Na Rafet (That Senegal is beautiful to see), the GIE of the fishing pier of Hann and the two social movements that are GIE Euleul Si birr (GIE Tomorrow is to be taken into account or to anticipate the future) and Sukhali Yaraax (Coming to the rescue of Hann). Once again, the troupe Mundus maris was asked to perform a sketch on the theme of pollution. That piece focused very much on the responsibility of the residents of the bay and on civility.
On July 13, 2018 the 13th edition of FestiVert took place. The event is organised by the Guissé brothers' orchestra (called Groupe Frère Guissé, from the municipality of Hann). Each year several activities are planned including a forum and cultural activities. It is an opportunity seized by the Ministry of the Environment to honour the best students in environmental sciences. The Mundus maris troupe was invited to the opening ceremony where they presented their beautiful play on the civil responsability for the degradation of the environment.
As a reminder, the top five in each class are awarded at FestiVert. The 2018 edition had a record participation rate. The Mayor of the municipality took part in the opening ceremony, which was strongly marked by the theatre troupe, with in attendance municipal councilors, all the directors of the public and private schools of the commune, the commander of the Park, a military representative of the Ministry, the director from the Center for Environmental Education, the Parent Representative and the Director of the School of Young Actresses and, of course, the Vice President of Mundus maris all came to cheer for our theater troupe. IEF Grand Dakar was also in attendence.
Finally, as FestiVert lasts three days, on July 15, 2018, during the staging of children initiated in this context, the troupe was asked again to perform. At the announcement of this, the expats from the German Cooperation (GIZ) based in Dakar decided to wait for the sketch of the troupe. Having appreciated the performance of the young actresses, they wanted to meet afterwards with Bina Diop as coach and potentially see any prospects for the future.
